We deconstructed these magazine front covers in anticipation for making our own for our coursework, we found this to be very helpful because it helps us understand the layout and content of a magazine front cover better.
By deconstructing this front cover we learnt how colours and costumes are an important factor on a front cover. For example on this we said that the blue tones behind the character give off a cool and calm vibe which could be realting to the characters personality.
The flouncy-ness of the characters outfit also gives off impressions about what type of character he may be in this particular film, it suggests that he is very carefree type of person.
From deconstructing this front cover we got a better understanding of how props are used and play a huge part in front covers of maagzines, for example the shattered glass shown gives the consumer many ideas about what this film may be about. The impression we got was that it would be very action packed as well as some violence being included, it also connotes that this film is very on edge and is sharp.
From looking at this front cover we got learnt how words play an important role in front covers and how sell lines work well. For example the main sell line is put in the same colour as the main characters top, evidently, the main sell line also happens to be his name.
