Todorov's Theory of Narrative

Todorov's Theory of Narrative.

We have learnt through class time about Todorov's theory of narrative and how it applies to all films today, we decided this would be important to understand it to therefore be able to create a successful trailor.

In each narrative there are five stages;
1. A state of equilibrium (everything is normal)
2. A disruption (cause by an event)
3. Recognititon that the disorder has occured
4. The damage caused it attempted to be repaired
5. A new equilibrium is restored!

  1. You need to say how this can be applied to your own work. As it stands it does not make any sense as to why it is appearing on your blog.
